Top reviews from the United States

This is a review of this particular edition, not of Diodorus Siculus with whom you're already familiar.

Two things of note, both of which seem to be the norm with this particular publisher:

1. Contrary to the cover/description, this volume only includes 9 of the 15 surviving books (1-5, 11-14). Books 15-20 are not included in this edition, nor are the fragments which are stated on the cover.
However, books 16-20 are available on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0198759886/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

2. This book is a fairly poor facsimile of an old volume. It's mostly readable throughout, but text is blurred in various degrees, whether from poor printing in the old volume, or poor facsimile process (I suspect the latter).

No table of contents and no index.

I do not regret my purchase, especially as this is the only affordable volume of these books of Diodorus (at time of review), and coupled with the above-linked volume for books 16-20, I'm pleased to have all but one book of Diodorus Siculus.
