Not being an expert on the subject, I have no way of knowing if this book has outright errors, as one reviewer suggested. That said, I found all the entries to be well written and concise. Its even fun to just rummage around in - and definitely worth having on hand while reading a conventional history of Egypt. One proviso: This book isn't exactly packed with illustrations, and what there are, all of them are black and white drawings.

So much information packed into this Hardcover book, I got this couple years back at Universal Studios Orlando, Or Busch Gardens Tampa Fla? I don't remember, but it was in A Egyptian themed section of the park? Now that I think about it, it's probably Busch Gardens. Wonderful jam Packed book. Literally A ENCYCLOPEDIA of Ancient Egypt. All the Gods/Pharaohs are here. Ramses, the Young King Tut, Cleopatra. so much, things about Egyptian Culture in those times, that I never knew. This book is what got me interested in Ancient Egypt in the first place.

For anyone who has a passing interest in the ancient Egyptian culture, to those who need information for school reports or so forth, this book is incredibly useful.
All the entries are listed alphabetically for easy reference and cross referenced as well, so if you wanted to know about a certain queen or Pharaoh, there will be entries listed with more information on subjects pertaining to that particular entry.
Combined with the reference book Who's Who in Ancient Egypt, you have an invaluable set of resource books.

Like the dictionary from the same writer this is a invaluable resource for information. Well done as it includes people that are not listed or explained in any other books so far that I have seen.
