It wasn't really on my radar to learn about Vesta but I am familiar with Erik's work so I decided to order the book. Am I glad I did. This is powerful (as is Vesta) and a truly wonderful addition to the Shamanic Astrology library. Reader friendly, well organised and I enjoyed Erik's use of language. Even if it is a small book (109 pages), the information and experience of digesting the contents has been both transformative and liberating. Recommended for sure.

This book is amazing! It is well written and teaches so much beyond Vesta! I learned so much and am actively exploring Vesta on my and others charts now. The author explains so much about astrology, from the shamanic astrology perspective. It's a must read for anyone interested in astrology, why they are here and their sacred path!

Repetitive writing. Facile understanding of astrology. The text would have benefitted from 1) an editor and 2) an original idea beyond noticing that Vesta and Saturn have a similar periodicity. The author continuously cites his teacher and provides astronomical information about Vesta to mask the lack of independent thought about how to genuinely interpret Vesta in a chart. He also misattributes Demetra George's work. Unfortunate. I walked away from this feeling less intelligent about Vesta than when I began. This book is premature, and I wouldn't even sell it on the secondhand market.

Vesta is an asteroid that lends weight and nuance to a natal chart. It's literally one's "sacred hearth within." As such, understanding it can illuminate one's soul calling and can lend joy to everyday life. As Erik states, "Whatever the Vesta archetype in your life, it is a source for your gifts and soul rewards..." p89. I found that this little book unfolded multiple layers of "aha." I originally encountered it as the Kindle version, but quickly realized I wanted it as a reference book and primer on Vesta. Hard copy required! As a professional astrologer of 20 years, I've always paid attention to Vesta as one of the noteworthy asteroids. (It's conjunct my natal Neptune.) But the written material on Vesta falls short. Now Erik's careful research has given me the book I was looking for. He obviously has a heart for Vesta and explains its significance in mythology, astronomy, and astrology. I found it especially valuable to understand Vesta within the context of the Shamanic Astrology paradigm (which he summarizes) and in relation to Saturn. As a reference text, Erik includes descriptions of Vesta's influence by sign, house, and aspects. Additionally, he includes examples (including charts) of famous people with prominent Vesta placements and some examples from his own astrology practice. If you want to add to your appreciation of the sacred and its connection with the your 3D human life, I highly recommend this book!

I have a kindle copy and reference it often. I recommend this book to my astrology students for learning the information on Vesta. It came at the perfect time, was easy to make sense of, and an enjoyable read. Kudos to Mr. Erik Roth for taking the time to do independent research and motivation to put a book together for us.
