Roman Legionary Kit
A reconstruction of a Roman legionary's kit from the 1st century CE. The standard armour of a Roman legionary in the early Roman Empire included a cuirass, helmet, spear (pilum), and sword (gladius). The cuirass depicted in this reconstruction is of the lorica segmentata type, which was made of layered plate armour.
