Mycenaean Krater With Warriors
This Mycenaean krater depicts Greek warriors in full armour (panoply), bearing a helmet, cuirass, greaves, shield, and spear. This heavy and expensive gear was the iconic outfit of hoplites, or heavy infantry, in ancient Greece. From the "House of the Warrior Vase" at Mycenae Acropolis. 12th century BCE.
