Statue of Idet & Ruiu
It has been speculated that this statue of Idet & Ruiu depicts a same-sex couple. Married couples were frequently depicted in the same manner, seated together in an embrace. New Kingdom of Egypt, 18th Dynasty, 1480-1390 BCE. From the Theban necropolis, Egypt.
