An 1879 oil on canvas, Apple Trees at the Hermitage near Pontoise, by Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), the French post-impressionist painter. Created while Gauguin was working closely with and learning from the impressionist landscape painter Camille Pissarro (1830-1903). (Aargauer Kunsthaus Aarau, Switzerland)
