A 1912 oil-on-canvas portrait by Juan Gris (1887-1927) of the painter Pablo Picasso. Gris here uses a Cubist approach to show Picasso from multiple perspectives, breaking up the standard portrait and reassembling the pieces to create an abstract representation of the subject. Gris has represented Picasso with various gemoetrical forms but these forms are all organised along diagonal lines.
