Wepwawet & Seti I, Abydos
Wepwawet was a war god, often depicted as either a wolf or a jackal. He was associated with Anubis, as both assisted the souls of the dead in reaching the Duat and were similar in appearance. Pictured: Relief of Wepwawet embracing Seti I (1290-1279 BCE). Temple of Seti, Abydos.
