Denarius Depicting Quirinus
Quirinus was an archaic patron deity of Rome. According to Roman tradition, Quirinus was one of the original Capitoline Triad worshipped in Rome, alongside Jupiter and Mars. However, his role diminished significantly by the time of the Roman Republic. Quirinus was often depicted as a bearded man with military attributes. Pictured: Coin depicting Quirinus, 60 BCE.
