Apollo Playing the Kithara
Apollo was the Greek god of the sun and of prophecy but became an important part of Roman mythology. He was associated with music, archery, and healing, occasionally punishing humanity by bringing disease. He was the twin brother of Diana. Apollo was often depicted with a bow and arrow, or a lyre.
