2023 has been a difficult year for the world economy, and we, too, have been struggling to fund our encyclopedia. Even with advertising revenue, memberships, and donations, we have not covered our operating costs this year. Your support really does make our work possible and allows us to publish everything we do entirely for free.
In the last year alone, 17 million students used World History Encyclopedia to study history and 9 million teachers used our resources to teach it in over 5,000 schools. Your donation directly supports history education around the world.
Our articles will bring to life the personalities, events, and concepts that shaped the United States, setting the foundation for the democracy we cherish today. Our encyclopedia will cover all the key topics of the period, including:
- Causes of the American Revolution
- Boston Tea Party and Intolerable Acts
- Boston Massacre
- First & Second Continental Congress
- Battles of Lexington and Concord
- Declaration of Independence
- Key Figures of the Revolution (e.g., George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin)
- George Washington and Slavery
