This is the reverse of the newly discovered Tablet II of the Epic of Gilgamesh. The cuneiform text (on the obverse) has been transliterated by Professor Farouk Al-Rawi and an article will be published by him soon. The cuneiform inscription indicates that the tablet belongs to the Old-Babylonian version of the Epic. Circa 1800 BCE. Not on display. Exclusive image, never-before-seen. It is in the Sulaymaniyah Museum, Iraqi Kurdistan. Acquisition number T-7544. Shot on April 7, 2019.
