Sumerian male worshiper from the Shara Temple at Tell Agrab, Mesopotamia, Iraq. Early Dynastic period, 2600-2400 BCE. The eyes were made of a shell set in bitumen while the pupils were made of black limestone. The eyebrows were painted with bitumen. Excavated by the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago in 1930s. On display at the Iraq Museum in Baghdad, Republic of Iraq.
