This statuette once stood as a votive in the ritual chamber of the "Holy House" in Priene (Ionia Region, Turkey). The features of the statuette, as well as attributes like the flowing hair and emotional gaze, are strongly reminiscent of Alexander the Great (r. 356 - 323 BCE). The damaged figure has to be restored with a cloak and a scabbard, which are not consistent with known portraits of Alexander the Great. The figure could instead portray one of the heroes associated with Alexander. Marble. C. 160 BCE. It is on display at the Altes Museum in Berlin, Germany.
