St. John’s Church is a part of the Te Waimate mission and is a stunning example of Gothic Revival architecture (c. 1740s - early 1900s CE). It was built in 1871 CE as a replacement for the 1839 CE chapel. This photo shows the stunning stained glass window behind the altar. Photo was taken in November 2019
