Illustration
"Richard Coeur de Lion", a bronze statue of Richard I of England (commonly known as Richard the Lionheart or Richard Coeur de Lion; r. 1189 - 1199 CE). A clay model of the statue was first presented at the Great Exhibition in London, 1851 CE. A bronze cast of the statue was completed in 1856 CE and was installed in Old Palace Yard, in front of the Palace of Westminster in London. In 1867 CE, bronze bas-reliefs were added to the sides of the statue's granite pedestal.
