A view of the Piazzetta San Marco in Venice, with the Doge's Palace (left) and the Biblioteca Marciana (right). The Doge's Palace was established in 1340 CE and continuously renovated over the centuries. The Biblioteca Marciana was constructed between 1537 and 1588 CE.
