A c. 1635 oil-on-canvas painting of Charles I of England (r. 1625-1649) by Anthony van Dyck. The artist has chosen to represent the king in triplicate, each version wearing different clothing and coloured slightly differently. This choice illustrates the fashion at the time for men to wear their hear longer on one side.
