A replica of a legendary ship Halve Maen belonging to Dutch East India Company that sailed into what is now New York Harbor in September 1609. The ship was captained by Henry Hudson, an Englishman in the service of the Dutch Republic. This discovery started the process of the Dutch colonisation of what is now North America. The photo was taken in July 2015
