An 1871 oil on canvas painting, Interior at Arcachon, by Edouard Manet (1832-83), the French modernist painter. Manet was fond of painting calm domestic scenes, as here with his wife and (probable) son, Suzanne and Léon-Edouard Leenhoff. The setting is the family retreat at Arcachon near Bordeaux.
