An 1883 oil on canvas, Dance at Bougival, by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) the French impressionist painter. Renoir painted three similar scenes which were all commissioned by his dealer Paul Durand-Ruel for his own home. (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston)
