An 1877 oil on canvas, Young Man Playing the Piano, by Gustave Caillebotte (1848-96) the French impressionist painter. The man is the artist's younger brother Martial who was a pianist and composer of some talent. Caillebotte, as can be seen here with the piano, was very interested in how light played upon wood.
