An 1880 oil on canvas, View from a Balcony, by Gustave Caillebotte (1848-96) the French impressionist painter. Here the artist takes his fascination with including ornate iron balcony railings in his paintings to the extreme and has the entire canvas devoted to a street scene as seen through the railings.
