Illustration
Boissy d'Anglas saluting the head of deputy Féraud, 1st Prairal Year III (20 May 1795), during the Prairial Uprising. Although d'Anglas is depicted in this painting, the president of the Convention during the uprising was actually Théodore Vernier; therefore, it was Vernier, not d'Anglas, who had the decapitated head of Féraud waved in his face.
Painting by Charles Fournier des Ormes, 1831. Museum of the French Revolution, Vizille.
