A map illustrating the troop positions of the British East India Company (pink) and the Sikh empire (yellow for the first battle line and red for the second line after a regrouping mid-battle) at the battle of Aliwal of 28 January 1846 during the First Anglo-Sikh War (1845-6). The East India Company won both the battle and the war.
