A glacier of cream-coloured earthenware produced by the Etruria factory of Josiah Wedgwood (1730-95). This style was popular with Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III of Great Britain (r. 1760-1820) and so became known as Queen’s ware. (Wedgwood Museum, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, England)
