Bronze anthropomorphic figurine with hands stretched forward in an adorant position, discovered face downward inside a sacred structure at Vani, Georgia, dated to the 3rd century BCE.
Adorned with gold jewellery (torque, bracelets, and earrings), this figure was carefully buried in a way that seems to mimic the human burials at the site. A total of seven metal figurines were discovered at Vani. Their precise function remains unclear, but they were probably related to local religious and funerary customs.
