Dr. Joseph Warren (1741-1775), one of the most influential Boston revolutionaries in the leadup to the American Revolutionary War, playing a vital role in organizing the Battles of Lexington and Concord (19 April 1775) and in the Battle of Bunker Hill (17 June 1775), during which he was killed. Oil on canvas portrait is by John Singleton Copley, c. 1765.
