Built by Louis XI of France in 1465, the Château de Langeais stands in the French commune of Langeais in the department of Indre-et-Loire, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. It replaced an earlier fortified castle built at the end of the 10th century by the Count of Anjou Foulques Nerra.
