Stratford Hall Plantation in Westmoreland County, Virginia. It was a residence of the prominent Lee family of Virginia and the birthplace of two signers of the Declaration of Independence, Richard Henry Lee (1742-1794) and Francis Lightfoot Lee (1734-1797), as well as of Confederate General Robert E. Lee (1807-1870).
