The Miracles of St. Francis Xavier, oil on canvas by Peter Paul Rubens, 1617/1618. In it, Francis Xavier preaches to the peoples of Asia and Africa, with the destruction of an idol in the background. Several individuals are being brought back to life, such as the baby with water coming from its mouth, a reference to an event that happened in Goa when Xavier resurrected a drowned child. Notice also the man dressed in Korean garment, standing to the right of the individual in armour.
