The frigidarium (cold room) of the Roman Baths of Odessos (modern-day Varna, Bulgaria). The baths were built around the end of the 2nd and the beginning of the 3rd century CE under Roman emperor Septimius Severus. They cover over 7000 square meters and were the fourth-largest public baths in the European provinces of the Roman Empire. They were abandoned shortly after their construction c. 280 CE, around the Crisis of the Third Century. Architectural materials from the baths were later used for the construction of the Small Thermae at Odessos, built around the 4th century CE.
