Cheyenne courting scenes by the Cheyenne artist Big Back, c. 1882. The scenes depict the sort of courtship ritual and acceptance of a proposed marriage as touched on in the Ehyophsta Legend of the Cheyenne when Coyote Man offers his daughter in marriage to the two young men.
