The body of Heinrich Himmler (1900-45), leader of the SS (Schutzstaffel), the Nazi paramilitary group which evolved into a vast police and military organisation. Himmler was captured by Allied troops in the final days of WWII and committed suicide by taking cyanide. Photographed at 2nd Army H.Q. at Luneburg. (Imperial War Museums)
