A Civil War-era political cartoon depicting Andrew Jackson (aka the Union) triumphing over John C. Calhoun (aka states' rights proponents) during the Nullification Crisis. The cartoon was meant as a critique of presidential candidate George B. McClellan's plan of making peace with the Confederate States of America. From Pendleton's Lithography, 1864.
