This is one of the Amarna letters. In this clay tablet, the Kassite king Burna-Buriash II (in Babylon, Mesopotamia) corresponds with the Egyptian pharaoh Amenhotep III, asking him to send more gold. Most of the Amarna letters were written in Akkadian cuneiform, rather than the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. From modern-day Tell el-Amarna, Al-Minya Governorate, Egypt. Circa 1350 BCE. ME E 29785. EA 9 (Amarna number). (The British Museum, London)
