This helmet, beaten from a single sheet of bronze, features hammered out (repoussé) ridges along the top. The Illyrian type is found in mainland Greece and former Yugoslavia, dating from the 6th to early 5th century BCE.

It was reportedly discovered at the battlefield of Plataea (479 BCE) and is currently located in the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Canada.
