This figure, with its short wig and long kilt, is thought to depict one of the earliest doctors known from ancient Egypt - a physician named Gua. Gua and his brother Seni both held the title of wer swnw ('chief doctor') and practised during the 12th Dynasty (1985-1795 BCE)
