This tablet (tabular) dates to the 2nd century BCE and the ancient city of Thyatira. Thyatira was once a Lydian city, on the border of Lydia and Mysia, but at times was under the control of the Persians, and then the generals of Alexander the Great. It is one of the seven churches mentioned in John's New Testament apocalyptic work, the book of Revelation, and is mentioned in the book of Acts in the New Testament. The inscription on this tablet reads, "The People (honored) hero Demoneikos, son of Artemidoros."
