Armenia's Areni Cave is near the Areni village in southern Armenia alongside the Arpa River. It is a multicomponent site that saw human habitation in the late Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Age. Prehistoric wine, an ancient shoe, and portions of an ancient brain have been recovered from this site.
