Kartli/Iberia coin of Prince Stephanos I, first emission. Silver. Weight – 2,9 gr.
d=28mm.
Obverse: Ohrmazd IV to the right. Legend in Pehlevi: hrm – aphzu (Ohrmazd Augustus). This is placed within onefold circle of the dots. Four Georgian letters (Asomtavruli) on the edge of the coin – ႱႴႬႱ (=Stephanos), with four crescents on the sides.
Reverse: Cross on altar protected by two guardians. Date and name of the mint are unreadable, all placed within a twofold circle of the dots.
Mint: Unknown.
Nominal: Drachm (2,9gr.).
Date: 593-595 or 591(?).
