This document contains an agreement between one group of lector-priests of the necropolis of To-ankh at Asyut, and another group, defining which persons were to be employed in the ceremonies of mummification, and what materials were to be provided for every corpse brought to the necropolis. Notable days in the mummification process are specifically mentioned; these include the 4th day, the 16th day, and the 35th day, on which wrapping of the body probably began. Demotic script on papyrus. Ptolemaic Period, reign of Ptolemy VI, 157 BCE. From Asyut, modern-day Egypt. (The British Museum, London).
