Lion of Babylon Statue, Overview — General view of the Lion of Babylon statue. The surrounding area and the pedestal underwent a renovation work recently. The statue itself underwent no changes. The work has been completed by now and the ribbon has been removed, thereafter. The palace of Saddam Hussein, which was built on an artificial mound, appears behind the statue.
