    Gordium is settled by Thracians.
  • 465 BCE - 463 BCE
    Athenian general Cimon conquers Chersonesus in Thrace and the north-Aegean island of Thasos.
  • 357 BCE - 356 BCE
    After defeating the Thracian dynasts Berisades and Cetriporos, Philip II lays the foundation of a new city bearing his name: Philippopolis (modern Plovdiv, Bulgaria).
  • 279 BCE
    Celts invade Thrace and Anatolia.
  • 212 BCE
    The Celtic kingdom of Tylis in Thrace is overthrown by native Thracians. Cavaros is the last ruler of the small kingdom.
