The Glastonbury Thorn

One of the sacred Glastonbury Thorns located at The Glastonbury Abbey. The tree is linked to the legend of Joseph of Arimathea who supposedly brought Christianity to England during the 1st century CE.

The St. Margaret’s Chapel and Royal Magdalene Almshouses in Glastonbury, Somerset. A chapel dedicated to St. Margaret was built in the 1070s CE on Magdalene Street, originally as a hospital, but the preserved building dates from 1444 CE.
