Plaster Cast of a Pig from the Eruption of Vesuvius

A plaster cast of a domestic pig found in Villa Regina at Boscoreale (Italy). The pig died in the volcanic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 CE. As its body decomposed it left a void in the volcanic material around it.
