Ahmet M Ateş

Biography

I have recently started my PhD studies at Hacettepe University, which is one of the most prestigious universities of Turkey, at the department of English Language and Literature. I hold my master’s degree from Hacettepe University as well. My master's thesis is the first academic study of Algernon C. Swinburne’s poetic works at the graduate level in my department and Turkey. My research interests are Victorian poetry, twentieth-century English poetry, fantastic literature, utopian/dystopian literature, and creative writing. I strive to implement my analytical skills and critical approaches on different mediums of fiction such as novels, cinematic adaptations as well as nascent fanfiction genres.

I am currently employed as a full-time lecturer and assistant to the coordinator at Ankara Bilim University, Prep School department.
