Biography

Born in the picturesque city of Catania, Sicily, underneath Mount Etna, Danilo grew up surrounded by history, from the ancient ruins dotting the island to the timeless traditions of mediterranean culture. Seeking new opportunities and adventure, Danilo made the life-changing decision to migrate to Australia, eventually settling in the vibrant city of Melbourne.

Driven by a commitment to justice and a desire to serve the community, Danilo pursued a career in law enforcement Beyond the uniform, however, lies a deep passion for ancient history and the Latin language.
While lacking formal academic training in these subjects, Danilo's love for the past is rooted in genuine curiosity and a determination to preserve historical knowledge.

As a native Italian speaker, Danilo combines language skills with a heartfelt mission: translating historical articles into Italian for his fellow italophone history aficionados. This labor of love not only makes ancient history accessible to fellow Italians but also celebrates the enduring connection between Danilo's heritage and the wisdom of the past.
