Biography
I read History and Politics at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, graduating in 2024. During my time there, I was also the editor-in-chief of the CJPA and a writer for Varsity. I spent most of my studies focused on the history of political thought and European history. I also wrote researched essays on the history of political violence (among other topics), and took papers covering the politics of knowledge in the seventeenth century, early modern European history and British political history. Currently, I am trying to fill gaps in my historical knowledge by looking into the global late Middle Ages.
History has been a big part of my life, ever since I was a young (and perhaps, naïve) child who dreamed of time travel, castles and sailing to undiscovered lands. My passion has stuck with me and matured; it continues to shape how I see the world and consider the problems of existence. Much like re-reading one's favourite novel, continuing to learn and discover more about the past helps me better understand myself and others in the present.
I divide my time between Norwich and London. When I am not reading, I am an independent writer and amateur bookseller. Outside of that, I can often be found listening to music or going for long, rambling walks.
